I know it doesn't take that long and I keep saying I will try... but at least I am not calling it quits yet! I am busy getting my room ready for school. I will be teaching 5th grade math/science in Wylie this year. Coop will begin Kindergarten and Lexi will be going to daycare. I took her yesterday just to meet her teacher and she started crying as soon as we got into the room. I know she will be fine, but I am going to lose it when I take her on Monday. Although there are so many days that I am SO READY for her to go to daycare, I know I will miss her SO MUCH! Her B-day is today along with my Mamaw's B-day (HAPPY BIRTHDAY). We will be having a small family b-day tonight and then we will have a pool/tea party tomorrow with friends tomorrow. She is growing so fast! Here is a pic of her with he hair up and out of her face... can you believe it. She looks so grown up....

Busy, Busy, Busy
Yes, as punishment in the Widener House if you talk back you clean all the floors with a rag. I have found it teaches them a lesson and really helps ME with my day to day chores :)
Kidding..... I was in the kitchen and Cooper runs in and tells me Lexi is getting everything wet. I went to the hallway and found Lexi on the floor with a rag soaking wet with water from the bathroom. There were huge puddles of water all the way down the hall. She told me she was just cleaning the floors. Of course she was so dirty from playing outside earlier, so I told her to stay right there while I got my camera....it reminded me of Cinderella. I just had to laugh!
My two Superheroes.....
Cooper started playing T-ball a few weeks ago and absolutely loves it! He stays focused the whole game and enjoys everything about it. His coach is amazed at how he can tell him to do something one time and he does it from then on.... why does he not do that for me????? Of course, Blake is so proud. He has been watching the College World Series and I know he is already picturing Cooper there while he cheers him on from the stands. I keep trying to remind him that he is only 5....just because he is the best player on his T-ball team doesn't mean he will be going pro anytime soon! Here are a few action pics... I will try to get a few more from his last game tomorrow.
That is all for now... I will try to post again next week!!!!!

Memorial Weekend at Lake Kemp
When we finally got there, we let the dogs and the kids out and off they went. Coy, Mark, and Marty joined us. First thing they wanted to do was go swimming....there goes the days when Blake and I went up there and sat on the deck and enjoyed the view for a while. We had to get bathing suits and sunscreen on immediately. At first Cooper wasn't too sure about the lake... he had only been in a swimming pool... but he quickly got over it and jumped in and started swimming. Lexi, on the other hand, took a little longer to get over it....about a day :)
The next 2 days were filled with fun activities:
Swimming...
Fishing....Cooper caught 22 fish. Daddy helped him reel in the keeper for the day!
Cooper worked on his golf swing....
Lexi worked on what she does best... eating junk food :) And yes her hair is pulled back out of her face with a bread tie... THANKS MARK!
Four Wheeling with Marty.........
Cooking with Mark...
And after all of that fun.... she 'tried' to sleep in!!!!
Overall it was a great weekend! Can't wait to do it again!!!!

I Know.....
Since my last post we have finished the soccer season. Of course we didn't keep score, but I don't think we won a game!!! But the kids had a great time playing. Coop scored 2 goals this season and actually played pretty well for his first season. Lexi had fun watching and cheering too!

Trip to the Zoo
It was a beautiful day and the kids had a blast. They had a stingray exhibit open where you could actually pet and feed the stingrays. Of course I didn't get any pics of that b/c I was right in there with the kids... I think I liked it more than they did. Cooper and I fed the stingrays their mini dead fish that were cut in half, but Lexi didn't want any part in it. You would hold it way underwater in your hand and they would swim over and suck it out of your hand... it was a very strange feeling.
Cooper was excited to see the lions and tigers, but when we got to the lion cage, they had a sign on the cage telling us that Boris, the lion, had died earlier this year. Cooper was sad, but went on, but Lexi just could not get over this. She asked about the Lion for the next 30 minutes.
We caught the tigers just in time... the trainers had planted his food for the day and the tiger was out looking for it. The tiger was pretty close... it's so amazing how large and graceful they are. Cooper loved it!
The elephant gave us quite a show also... he was playing in the water and splashing people.
They have a new little water area for the kids... and of course, you know how much my kids love water. They were soaked, but they had a great time!

FIRST BLOG!!!
Ok....NEVER thought I would have my own blog, actually just learned what one was a few weeks ago :) Anway.....A good friend (thanks Lane) set this up for me, so now I just have to keep up with it! Anyone that knows me is probably already thinking that this will never stay updated, and believe me, I have my own doubts, but I will try!!!! At least I can do this quickly, unlike scrapbooking that takes forever just to get everything out! By the time I get it out, the kids are screaming for lunch, Maggie has gotten in to the trash, the dryer alarm goes off, dishwasher alarm goes off... so scrapbook stuff goes back in the closet! So at least this doesn't require stamps, letters, construction paper, scissors, etc! I think i can do it :)
